Total jobs = labour force × (1 − unemployment rate). Distances run capital to capital.

How to play

Every day Jobble picks a country and shows its workforce: how many people have jobs, and how those jobs split across agriculture, industry and services for women and men.

You get six guesses.
After a wrong guess you see how far its capital is from the answer's capital, which way to head, and how close you are.
Each wrong guess also unlocks a clue: unemployment, how people work, region, income group, then the capital's first letter.
Industry covers manufacturing, mining, construction and utilities. Services covers everything from retail and transport to health, teaching and government.
A new country arrives at midnight. Practice mode gives you as many random countries as you like.

Figures are the ILO's modelled estimates published in the World Bank's World Development Indicators, loaded live each time you play.
